International students are invited to apply for the Ph.D. Studentship in Computer Science at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom for the academic year 2022-2023. The grant is intended to help students gain the experience and skills necessary to apply for jobs.

The scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition and benefits for qualifying students beginning their Ph.D. in Computer Science. Up to 20 students will receive fully-funded prizes over a 3.5-year period.

To support research, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Surrey offers up to twenty fully supported Ph.D. programs (at UK tuition rates). Students are provided a 3.5-year term (or a 7-year period if they work 50% of the time) to complete their research portfolio in all disciplines, including cybersecurity and cryptography, distributed and concurrent systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Eligible Requirements

Value of Scholarship

  • A stipend of £16,062 plus £3,000 per annum for the full-time students.
  • £3,000 for the support of the related fees including conferences and other related fees at the university.
